The P.R Team was established in 1998 in Cape Town, South Africa as a boutique Public Relations & Publicity Company specialising in hospitality, leisure and celebrity representation. We are committed to rolling up our sleeves until the job is done by using good, old fashioned work ethics – there are no second chances in P.R!

Our clients are not just a file number or merely an account, for us they form part of our team as we work together to deliver the best results possible while exceeding expectations. We’re fortunate to be in the position to select those we wish to work with – those who share the same energy and passion for life and work.

The team is headed up by Peter Unsworth who hails from a showbiz and hospitality background. “It’s all about honest business relationships and representing clients with a hands-on approach through a personalised service is the only way we work.”

Born and educated in England, he gained entry in 1985 to the renowned Northern Ballet School, Manchester. In 1988 he began his professional dance career and worked at some of the most famous theatres in the world. On reaching the level of Dance Captain, Principal Dancer, Choreographer and Company Manager, he went on to be Assistant Artistic Cruise Director and became more involved with the marketing and PR side of the business.

In 1995 he gained a Distinction in Public Relations through Damelin College, South Africa and has held P.R positions at Sun International – Sun City Resort and P.R Manager with a leading safari company before establishing The P.R Team. He is also a guest lecturer at Varsity College & writes for various publications.

“The recipe behind a good organisation is truly understanding
your client’s needs, delivering a quality product and working as a team – these are the hallmarks for success,” Peter Unsworth.
